SS6D 4. Blogging from bed.

It all looked so easy once you had picked up the map. Mostly open farm with patches of gorse and heather and only 120 metres of climb.

Pity about the 220 metres of climb up to the start. It was “only ” an 1.8km walk but the last 600m was as near to vertical as a Scottish sheep could stand.  I allowed an hour to do the trip and did it in 58 minutes, I stood at the start box, drenched in sweat, thirsty and exhausted. “Only another 3.8kms to go”

Map. Day 4

I made it around with the usual stupid mistake on the easiest control, mostly caused by tiredness and dehydration.

Enough to make you want to take up golf

We have no photos yet as we could not find he strength to pick up a camera and there are none up on the website yet, I think the photographers are still coming back down, so we have pinched a few from  other days off their web site.

Second. Ilze and I are the first entries in Venice 2019.
