Today we went for a walk. Here is what we did:
- Went to the local market
- Ate lunch at Creps Barcelona – a chain restaurant that does gluten free galettes, savoury and sweet. Mmm
- Bought me a pink sun hat
- Strolled through the Gothic Quarter, and decided it would be an excellent place for a Sprint
- Saw some Roman things
- Window shopped
- Found a gelateria with the magic words “Sin Glutine” – lemon and wild berries for me, chocolate sorbet and wild berries for Ian. It’s called Swiit, and is right opposite the Roman Tower. Highly recommended.
- Were greeted by a friendly giant lobster. My life is complete.
- Saw a man wearing a leather onesie. Don’t do this. Ever.
- Saw a man taking his plastic unicorn for a walk. Acceptable if you carry it off with flair.
- Chased bubbles
- Visited one more Gaudi Casa. This is our “local” just a few minutes’ walk away. It’s obviously from his earlier Straight Line period. I promised Ian there would be no more.
I’m not quite head over heels in love with Barcelona, but I like it very much indeed.
