What can you get for $30 in Ravenna?

Our last day in Ravenna began late because we were out late with dinner and a show. Fabulous food in a converted theatre showing Laurel and Hardy on the big screen. Cost $30 each.

Dinner and a film

In the morning we set off in light rain across the Plaza del Populo where the local motorists all had the tops up on their convertibles and past an array of useful boutiques.

Should have bought the hard top.

The trouble with convertables

We then visited the last of the UNESCO sites famed for its mosaics. The Basilica of Saint Apollinaire. It was our 5th Basilica for the $9.50 ticket we purchased yesterday.

Then to the TAMO a museum of mosaic techniques showing restorations and conservation. Entrance $6.00 each.

Then it was time for Pete to go home and take some drugs for his toothache, I guess you cant just keep having custard croissants for breakfast.

We then trooped off to the dentists where Pete was professionally examined, temporary treatment recommended and x-rays taken and provided to take back to my dentist in Australia.

Cost.

Sit down and hold on to something.

$25.00.

No, there are no zeros missing.

Pete.
