A wet and cold day kept us indoors until mid afternoon, when we went for a short drive to see if the Blowholes were blowing. We checked the Little Blowhole first – nup. Not enough ocean swell to cause more than a few minor splashes. Back to the main Blowhole. Yesterday it was full of tourists seeking their Insta shots. but in calm sunny conditions, there was never going to be any action. Today it was almost deserted (much like the rest of town), but the handful of us that braved the damp, were rewarded with plenty of noise and plenty of spray, as the waves were forced into the narrow cleft, and upward with a deep “woomph”. I didn’t need to jostle for a prime viewing spot either.
