A Ton Of Bricks

For anyone wondering why we came to southern Germany, and Ulm in particular, the main reason was Legoland.  It was all planned so Ian could shop right at the end of the trip.  We’ve never been to a Legoland theme park, so I tagged along (I think I was there to carry the shopping).  Even out of school holidays, there were hordes of excited kids, and by the end of the day, the crowds were too much.  There were queues for all the rides, so we skipped those.  The most interesting part for me was Miniland, where they have large scale Lego models of famous European cities and other landmarks.  These are built at 1:20 scale, representing thousands of hours and millions of brick.  You may recognise some of them:

There was a shopping frenzy at the end of the day, and Ian has a ton (or a kilogram) of new bricks to play with.
