Another uneventful day on the road.  We made it through Sydney before the long weekend exodus got underway, and pulled into our new home in Budgewoi shortly after 3pm.  The back deck looks straight over Lake Munmorah, and we watch black swans, pelicans and kayakers glide past. 

We settled in quickly, unpacked, shopped, and waited for Ted and Margi’s arrival.  They did the drive in one (long) day).  After a nice steak and salad dinner, followed by strawberries and ice cream, we headed to bed to prepare for a big day of competition tomorrow.

Here are some photos taken from the deck.  We can see walking trails in either direction but we are yet to venture out on them.  There is also a place called “Smugglers Island” a short distance away, which of course is begging to be explored, in the best tradition of Swallows and Amazons.
