Who are we?
Debbie, Ian, Pete and Ilze are four orienteers from Australia who went on a grand overseas adventure in 2012, and haven’t stopped travelling since.

What does the name mean?
Dipidydoo – the clue is in our initials – Deb, Ian, Pete, Ilze … Do Orienteering Overseas
This blog is not just about orienteering, or about being overseas.
Since 2012 we’ve travelled to many places, sometimes together, sometimes separately. We’ve orienteered all over Australia and New Zealand, as well as in Europe; you’ll find those trips here. We’ve been to 72 degrees north and 72 degrees south. You’ll find cruises, road trips, train travel, balloon flights … you name it! We’ve also followed some special interests such as family history research, and space and aviation.

This is us on our first interstate orienteering trip to WA

A note about photos
A decade of posting tends to fill up the media library …
Most photos have been deleted from pre-2020 posts, to make more room. Exceptions are the first trip in 2012, and overseas trips from November 2017 onwards.
